Los Gatos Locos - Ojochal De Osa

This was one of our favorite lunch spots in the Uvita area. Mexican Pizza was very good. Reasonably priced and the owners were there to make sure everything was good. Their hot sauce was exceptional.

On the last night of our group trip, we went to Los Gatos Locos. This restaurant was a favorite of some of our expat friends and now a favorite of ours. Here we dined on Mexican food in the jungle in a tree house setting. The place has a cool, casual vibe with a hangout area downstairs and adult games including giant Jenga. Upstairs in the tree house we drank margaritas and cervezas, had great service and enjoyed really tasty Mexican food which is hard to find in Costa Rica. Another fabulous dining experience which confirms why Ojochal is often referred to as the Culinary capital of Costa

They have vegetarian options, but I was very disappointed. I had the vegetarian enchilada and the taste was really aweful. It was a tortilla with a mix of potatoes and vineager. I couldn't finish it. I couldn't find any mexican taste in it. My daughter had meat tacos and she said they were good. So stick to non vegetarian food.

Great food and service. We were there on a Sunday and again on Monday. Music both nights. Fun place with good food. I would definitely recommend if you like Mexican food and a great tree house setting.

We came during the day for lunch and enjoyed the all dressed nachos they were delicious. Fun menu! Apparently, they have live entertainment some days and the place gets packed. A fun place to go for good food.
