The chakchouka made for a packed with flavour breakfast. Not sure which one we actually had. Was enticed by a man offering me a date the fruit) whilst meandering at the markets. Got talking, he made it sound good, he asked me if I liked spicy and then he told the chef to make it. I think it was the spicy sausage one. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of flavour from all the spices. Came with bit of warm crusty bread to dip in the sauce. Also had a tea with pine nuts in it.
Stopped here on my trip to the Adelaide market. Super friendly staff and the best peppermint tea with pine nuts. Unfortunately I didn’t have the food as I had eaten already although it looked and smelled amazing!
I love the Adelaide Central Market early in the morning, just as the traders open. Before the crowd gets in and the hustle bustle begins. Situated right next to one of my favourite places ever (Comida) is a charming Algerian Place called Le Souk – French/Arabic for The Market. How fitting.
