Straw Market - Ogden

We always enjoy the food at this restaurant (especially the cinnamon rolls) and like the reasonable prices. However, the last time we were there, I was a bit disappointed with the overall cleanliness and tidiness, particularly in the restrooms. There were only large refill tubs of soap and the toilet paper roll was just sitting on the floor.

Ty Shaw is a amazing cook. He made me and my girlfriend the best French toast we?ve ever had! I highly recommend eating here.

I went to this bakery to try out some baked goods. When I walked in, there was nobody around and there was no bell to ring or sign indicating that someone was available. Despite this, I saw customers enjoying their food so I decided to wait. Finally, someone came out from the back without apologizing and asked me what I wanted. It was clear that he was not the employee of the month, as he didn't seem to know much about the limited bakery items they had when I asked. Unfortunately, he responded with, "I don't know, I just sell them," in a lackluster and unapologetic manner. To add to the disappointment, they only had three bakery items available despite listing at least a dozen. Despite this, I ordered a cinnamon roll and a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. The untrained employee proceeded to squish my cinnamon roll while wrapping it up, causing the frosting to stick to the wrapping. To my dismay, both items were completely raw, not just underbaked. I will have to either cook them at home (if I decide to) or risk getting sick. This experience was incredibly disappointing and I cannot recommend this place.

First problem was taking 30 minutes to make a salad. 30 minutes. 1 salad. When i got my salad and quickly went back to work because my entire lunch break plus some was wasted waiting, i opened it and saw the poorest excuse of a salad ive ever seen. Turkey and ham thrown on taking up 40% of what was there. The salad tasted bad, and 20% of it was extremely thick mushrooms that were out of place and tasted awful. So little lettuce. gosh ive never regretted ordering something like this

I finally decided to give this restaurant's breakfast a try, but it was disappointing. I ordered their loaded breakfast, but it wasn't as loaded as I had hoped. My toast was forgotten, the country gravy was missing, the potatoes weren't freshly fried, and they gave me the wrong meat. I ordered sausage but received raw bacon instead, which is why I usually avoid ordering bacon. I doubt I will be returning for breakfast here again.
