Bidra med feedbackIt?s hard to find good greens, but this place has them. I got the 1/4 chicken but wished I had gotten the 1/2 after tasting them. Tried my husbands ribs too and they were amazing and so tender.
See the red on the rib? That?s from smoke. The smoker outside is actually in use and I watched the owner bring ribs in off the smoker and plate it up for the customers. This is absolutely 100% the best BBQ on the Gulf Coast. Forget Murky Waters, forgetany other place.. THIS is the spot. Everything from the service to the food was top notch.
I'm really disappointed. I ordered a rack of ribs and 2 pounds of brisket. When I placed my order, I mentioned that I didn't need it to be served hot since I was serving it later. However, when I got home, the food was simply cold and chopped up. The meat was gray and lacked any seasoning. Just a heads up: be very specific when you place your order.
I had brisket, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese. The food was fresh, and the waitress and owner were friendly and attentive. However, the baked beans and macaroni and cheese seemed like they came from a can or box, and I believe the sides could be improved. On the positive side, the BBQ sauce was delicious, and the brisket was flavorful, though I would have preferred thicker slices. Overall, it's a solid BBQ spot in Ocean Springs.
The restaurant serves freshly cooked pork and beef, as well as excellent fried fish. It's best to call ahead, and Michael will prepare your meal fresh. They also offer homemade potato salad and baked beans. Enjoy your meal at a cozy table with delicious food and friendly service.
