Cafe Heller - Oberursel

During our visit to Umland of Frankfurt we visited Cafes in Oberursel and Bad Homburg. We cooked this time, but then something sweet in the afternoon has to come. Cafe Heller has a reputation in Oberursel to bake the best cake. So a visit was mandatory for us. Ambiente The restaurant is centrally located in the city centre. From the outside, the business of architecture does not look particularly welcoming. But inside you could immediately see the delicious products well – and that was not bad at all, but seemed very appealing. The area for guests is not particularly large. – So we only bought and participated here. We like to make the right coffee with our Jura espresso machine. – All places were already occupied: people of all ages and even strollers were sitting at the tables. Cleanliness Everything was well maintained and eager. Service The lady in the vase was very friendly and helpful; because we had many questions about the products (we do not use all the ingredients and do not like some components so much. I was also impressed by how much love the woman packed the purchased pieces. If we had not known what was in it, unpacking would have had an even higher experience. A gift for a nice person could not be packaged more beautifully. We bought two cakes and three cakes: Blueberry cheesecake Here we found the cheese flavors well hit. The forest fruits were abundantly planted. The taste was pleasantly strong. Below were a grape vinegar and above a biscuit layer was used as soil. I think this combination is ideal for “moist” cakes. The apple cake kept my mouth shut. Many fruits were processed. The sweetness was balanced. We recognized light-cinnamonomas. The two dough layers on top and bottom were tasty and not too thick. Upstairs there was still a sugar casting. Apricots The bakery looked very good for us – and the taste convinced us too. Maybe the best piece in our selection. Cheese Creamcake This piece was much too smooth later on consumption – but very creamy and loose. The typical Quark cheese taste was completely missing. But surely there are customers that are exactly the same. White chocolate cake Here we would have hoped for more taste from sight. The chocolate cream was too one-dimensional in our mouth. The bright coffee notes couldn't reopen us. Inside we would have hoped for several layers with different flavors. Conclusion 4 – happy again, but not all varieties. The pieces are large and not so expensive (about 2 euros – all pieces together cost €12.50). (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it returns, 4 – again happy, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise” Visiting date: 18.01.2016 three persons

Ambiente Das Lokal liegt zentral in der Innenstadt. Von außen sah das Geschäft architektonisch nicht besonders einladend aus. Aber im Inneren konnte man sofort die leckeren Produkte sehen, was sehr ansprechend war. Der Gästebereich war nicht besonders groß, also haben wir unsere Bestellung mitgenommen. Die Dame am Tresen war freundlich und hilfsbereit, beantwortete gerne unsere Fragen zu den Produkten. Sauberkeit Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Die verkosteten Speisen Wir haben zwei Törtchen und drei Kuchenstücke gekauft: Blueberry Cheesecake, gedeckter Apfel, Aprikose Törtchen, Käse Sahne Torte und Weiße Schokolade Törtchen. Fazit 4 Sterne - gerne wieder, aber nicht alle Sorten. Die Stücke sind groß geschnitten und nicht zu teuer. Besuchsdatum: 18.01.2016 - drei Personen.
