Bidra med feedbackShocking and just sad, I can't really put my disappointment in words. We knew the operator of the forest changed. Nevertheless, we decided to go to the “new” restaurant. At first glance at the menu (outside the curtain) it was already obvious that it has nothing to do with the old restaurant. When you enter, you get an inappropriate brook feeling if you really should eat there. The inn was completely empty, no tables covered and it smells like fat. After the service was completely surprised and the situation was clearly overwhelmed (you apparently did not expect any guests), we immediately left the place. It is sad that you leave such a beautiful and especially well-running forest waste to your destiny and promote it to ruin. You see how money governs the world! This so-called “guest place” was the Supergau. If we have just read the latest reviews!!! That's exactly how we experienced it. But we knew the “Waldschlösschen” from past winter holidays, before the owner changed, and were always satisfied guests of the Thuringian cuisine. But what was offered to us this time as “Thüringer Rostbrätl” does not deserve in the least its name, the roast potatoes were cold, dry, without wort, without bacon and onions. The salad plate came to the end, the pommes also as a supplement. The young man with the AirPods behind the Tresen also looked a little inviting, and the waitress could hardly be German so that the orders were limited to H-1 or V-2. Overall, the guests at the neighboring table have made the new boss aware that the menu on the Internet is much more extensive than the real offers we could only confirm. Too bad, another piece of Oberhof's memory.
For Christmas dinner with the family we had reserved and ordered food: 11 people have waited for their food for more than 1h. There were 1/4 ducks on a salad leaf without supplements (no lumps, no sauce, no red cabbage) for only 5 people. 40min later the remaining food came to pieces. Then there were lumps and red coal for the children. Duck with supplements without sauce was only available for 2 persons. The sauce was asked several times, came to the end... the boss was overwhelmed. Other guests left the restaurant without food. Your food just didn't come. The best came in the end. The invoice was more than 100€ more expensive than justified.
The food was really very good.ABER the waiters could almost not speak and understand German. Among other things we had to order 2 times until they understood what we want and above we had to wait 1h30min for our food the worst but that was the supplements (pommes, salad etc) only came when we were finished with our main course and therefore this restaurant is not recommended in any case further
All the top, were there only for one night, dining and breakfast super, highly recommended.
