Bidra med feedbackFrom any reason the baked goods we bought in oaxaca were not at all light and fluffy, and I would suspect that it is what they use instead of butter. the chocolate and fruit stuffed bake had only one gram or two of the filling, enough to dye the dough, but not enough to taste. cafe americano is good and her hot chocolate with water is excellent.
We had passed on an evening walk and saw some of the selection they had in their display. unfortunately they only closed so that coffee was out, but in oaxaca city centro they can go a good coffee on every street. so decided. to do that. I have a piece of cake with nuts in the teig and a very light cream filling. the cake was amazing and with a coffee from brujula my night was complete. just a few days, but would be past my next trip sooner. a little addicted to baked, cake. cookies, etc. and this happy discovery was a big little place.
Beautiful small café/coffee house in the center of oaxaca city. google maps lists this as permanently closed, but it seems to have another name caffe yalálag at the same address. large coffee, hot chocolate and baked. the caffe is full of...beautiful ceramics and other artworks for sale.
Chic, friendly atmosphere with great tasty to fit! friendly service, interesting portions, delicious food and very fair prices.
This is a sweet little place with seating for around 20. An americano is one dollar, a to die for little pastry about 40 cents US. An iced cappuccino, just shy of $2 US even comes with an eco friendly metal straw. The friendly barista...will give you a small straw plate. Use the tongs to select your favorite from the tempting central table. And enjoy!
