Bidra med feedbackEach visit I am in Oakville i made sure to visit Mo's. Always very welcoming and friendly. Portions are always so good
Well located, on the city's main avenue. Pleasant and welcoming environment, although not distinguished by the service. Varied meals, including meat and fish with large portions.
We found a very reasonable restaurant right on Lakeshore in downtown Oakville. The food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised with their prices.
Me and my boyfriend were excited to try this place, as it looks lovely in the pictures and the menu seemed great. We arrived to the restaurant and it was completely empty, other than ourselves... and I now know why.The waitress that was working was rude, inattentive and twice visibly rolled her eyes at us when we asked questions about the menu. When we told her that the coffee she brought us was cold, she huffed and took the pot away (without apologizing) before returning with a luke-warm pot. When the food came out (after a 30 minute wait for breakfast, in an empty restaurant), my omelette was burnt and the skillet was a plate a mush. The waitress never returned to see how our meal was. We took a few bites and it was honestly the worst breakfast I have ever tasted, needless to say we did not eat it.We tried to flag down the waitress and she just ignored us. We eventually left our uneaten "slop" at the table and had to walk to the bar to get our bill, which we promptly paid and left.We will never be returning to this location.
Our family eats at Mo's Family Restaurant on Speers every once in a while and we have always been very happy with the service and quality of the food there. This past Saturday of the Victoria Day long weekend, we decided to give the Mo's downtown Oakville location a try. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids ages 3-6). The main strip was dead considering it was a long weekend and a beautiful sunny day. The restaurant was equally dead and we had no issue getting a seat for our group, which is sometimes an issue at the other location especially on weekends. Our food came quick and our waitress made certain our coffee cups were always filled. Our meal was quick and painless - the best kind of sit down service when dining with little kids. Can't really screw up a greasy spoon breakfast. Portions are big and there is a variety of things to order. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and you don't necessarily feel like you are sitting on top of other diners while you eat your breakfast.
