Itani Ramen - Oakland

BEST...RAMEN...EVER!!!The oxtail ramen is a must! Hands down the best roman I've ever had. Good size portion too. I added pork belly which was also delicious. The egg has a sweetness to it that I've never tasted before.SIMPLY DELECTABLE!Food: 5/5

Had good service for a group of 9. I ordered the Oxtail ramen. It was delicious. Would order again. Music was a little loud in the back room and we asked for it to be turned down a bit. They did for us.

Service and Ambiance were fine. I got pork miso ramen and broth was good but the noodles were just ok.

I ordered the recovery meal through Doordash and did not receive all the items. I come here all the time as I live in uptown. I did not receive the salad or drink. I contacted Doordash and was placed on hold. Therefore I contacted the restaurant since I'm in the neighborhood. The team at Itani quickly tried to blame the missing items on the Dasher. the bag is stapled. They tried to claim the Dasher stapled the bag, and took the items. As a manager, this is terrible service. It's a canned Coke and shredded lettuce. That said, blaming me or the dasher was too much. I see the reviews, and now I get it. I'll take the coke and salad as a loss. They'll take a customer in the neighborhood who does not cook as a loss.

Itani Ramen is a solid place if you like fast service, a cool izakaya vibe, available seats on a Friday or weekday night, and aren't really looking to be wowed food-wise. Their fries appetizer ran a little small, considering the price. The ramen was just okay--I got the pork miso broth which had a deep flavor, but the noodles felt like Italian spaghetti noodles and not like ramen noodles at all, which kinda threw off my experience. I will say the portion was a great value, and I liked the balance of veggies and meat to the noodles.My partner got their new Cali cold noodle bowl, which looked like a play on a poke bowl. She said it tasted good. So if it's a hot day, maybe consider grabbing that new item!
