Wendy's - Oakland Park

Car broke down and walked here to wait for a ride. Got there at 8:40, dining room didn't open until 9. At 9:01 walked to both doors to check but they were locked. Saw staff inside and they saw me as well but no one let us in. Finally at 9:16 a manager unlocked the doors. We walked to the counter to order and she came behind the counter to ignore us and walk into the back. We stood there for several minutes until another manager with long hair came from the back preparing to leave to go to the bank. She was polite enough to take our order as it seems the other manager was encouraging her to leave but she argued that we were waiting and she could take care of us before leaving. It took 6 minutes to get out sausage biscuit and breakfast burrito only to have the eggs in my burrito ice cold. I returned it and requested a refund. The amount was 1.49 and the same sullen manager handled the transaction. She proceeded to give me 24 pennies to which I replied I will give you a penny, I don't want 24 pennies. The MANAGER then had to ask me how much change I was to receive. She could not compute that by giving her a penny she should give me a quarter.

They are awful. Never get a n order right. ALWAYS OUT OF FROSTYS when frostys are their main product. Orders always wrong. Staff is friendly, just not to attentive or have anything they need to fillful Wendy's customers. I stopped going to this location completely

The Wendy?s brand seems to take a two way approach to its locations while keeping some updated with the latest branding while others stay looking classic and old fashioned and some how manage to pull it off and this location is of no exception. The drive through is usually very quick and has late night hours.

Today's service was wonderful. I ordered a meal and the cashiers actually jumped it to where I had a few dollars, so this was very nice of her. I had a Dave's double, big chili and a few chicken nuggets. All were fresh, hot and very tasty. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. I am very happy with this visit and hope to be back soon.
