Bidra med feedbackI have given this restaurant multiple opportunities to serve a good Americano, but it consistently falls short. It's quite surprising how difficult it is to get right. This establishment serves the worst coffee in the neighborhood, as confirmed by several other patrons who have shared similar experiences with me.
The marina is a lovely tranquil spot to visit, but unfortunately, the café service is subpar. I received eye rolls when I left a cash tip instead of adding it to my bill for counter service. I waited for minutes as they put together a disappointing dry salad. The staff appears to be entitled wealthy youngsters who may not necessarily need to work.
Three of us went to this coffee cafe on a semi-sunny day in August and spent hours there. The coffee was hot and delicious. We had the option to sit inside or outside, and we chose to sit outside where we had a great conversation. Although we did not try any food, the dishes we saw looked appetizing and were served to other tables. You place your order at the counter and receive a number to place on your table for the wait staff to bring your order to you. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. It's worth noting that there is a fancy restaurant upstairs and a charming coffee shop downstairs. On a lucky day, you might even catch a glimpse of the resident seals enjoying the scraps left by the sport fishermen cleaning their catch at the station. It was entertaining and fascinating to see the seals up close.
We popped in for a late lunch after a morning kayak trip nearby and had such a blah meal of eggy breakfast dishes that were reminiscent of an egg McMuffin. The seafood soup tasted bottom of the soup barrel — a bit stodgy and left-overish....Everything had the quality of microwaveable. Staff forgot one of our orders. This place was not busy. We’ve been here for hot/cold drinks and I think we will just stick with those next time. Order and pay at counter and hot food is served to you. You clean up after yourself. It’s a great venue that overlooks the scenic Oak Bay Marina so prices reflect that but I wouldn’t eat a meal here.
Found this cafe at the marina and thought it would be perfect for a quick breakfast. Terrible food and service. The breakfast sandwiches were awful, unripe avocados and microwaved eggs. The space is certainly big enough to make everything fresh. There are many wonderful places...in Victoria for breakfast, unfortunately, this is not one of them. This place has huge potential and just needs someone that knows what they are doing. Wont be back
