Walnut Grill - O'Fallon - O FALLON

TOOK 15 MINUTES BEFORE SOMEONE ASKED US IF WE WANTED ANYTHING TO DRINK. TOOK 1 HOUR BEFORE WE GOT OUR FOOD. WE ENDED UP GETTING IT TO GO BECAUSE WE WERE ON A TIME CRUNCH. THEY FORGOT TO PUT OUR SALADS IN THE TO GO BAG. THEY DID SAY THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED. FOOD IS GOOD BUT WE PICKED A BAD NIGHT TO GO.

This was a horrible experience. The service was slow and the food was not edible. We ordered appetizers. Out soups came out first. When I asked about the appetizers I was met with a horrible attitude. When we finally got the appetizer the spinach artichoke dip had a large layer of grease on it. I can redress a filet cooked medium. I’m not even sure that I got the right cut of meet. The steak tasted like it had gone bad and it was cooked beyond well done. The shrimp was freezer burnt. The price was way too much for the quality of food and service. Will not be going back.

We were not happy. After asking for a standard table in the dining room on our reservation, we sat in a stand in the bar. When I asked a table in the dining room, I was told that we can't because the waiters were at the capacity. so this was not honored for our reservation.

Usually wg is a great place for lunch or dinner. last night they were from their game. bad service, salat came with dinner instead of before, brot was forgotten, huh was so overcooked it was unedible.

The reservation was for a high table for 6. they tried to sit on a low table, although there were 4 high tables open. the service was mediocre with one of our party who did not get their meal until 12 minutes after the rest of the table. eating was a good tasting with large portions, which was the only saving gnade for this place.
