Bidra med feedbackI visited the tea room today with my mum for a coffee and stayed for lunch! Received a warm welcome from the owners. Food was freshly prepared to order and well presented. Lots of choice on the menu. Tea room was immaculate and they have a patio at the rear when the weather is fair. Overall very relaxed and pleasurable. A business that should be supported by the local people!
Had the Fathers day afternoon tea with the family today, the tea room is very quirky holds 14 people and the cakes and sandwiches are made on site. I tried the ploughman’s tea so it had a strong piece of cheddar, wedge of pork pie , really nice ham pickle. Two cheese scones and a fresh baked roll with cottage cheese. Then a small trifle and chocolate cake, it was very nice with loose leaf tea to wash it down. The atmosphere is very relaxed and feels old fashioned in the best sense of the term. Cream teas or slice of homemade cake would be good at any time.
I visited here with my son yesterday for lunch. We both decided to have an afternoon tea. The sandwiches were generous and freshly prepared to order. The cakes were delicious and the tea was loose leaf and in a pot! All together a wonderful experience. We will be back!
Food is clearly lovingly prepared by a family who have a real passion for what they do. The home made cakes were moist and delicious. The children’s afternoon tea is great value for money what a way to make a child feel special. The team are welcoming, friendly and attentive. An absolute gem we are returning for the Father’s Day afternoon tea next week. Will definitely now be a regular meeting spot for catch ups with friends and family. Cannot reccommend this little tea room enough.
Had afternoon tea. Was strange to have to pick just one sandwich filling, but we all had different so shared. Meat was very fresh and not stingy on filling. Scone was lovely but the cake had too much buttercream and was overly sweet. Tea was really nice as was the cake pop/truffle. Was a bit cramped and unfortunately there was an overpowering smell of BO which put us off our food slightly. Would go again for a cuppa but wouldn’t bother with the afternoon tea again.
