I chose the almost 16€ expensive grilled salmon. At the table there were 2 two-fingered fish with Zatziki and the tomato rice I wanted, not bigger than an iceball and unfortunately a little fade. The fish was well grilled, tastefully not bad, but from the crowd simply so saturating for the proud price. The Galaktoburiko as a dessert was very good. Operation nice and accommodating, equipment and atmosphere were ok, even if a bit cheesy. Resümee: Food is good, but prices are absolutely too expensive. We won't come.
23.12., 21:00 in Plaka. We were 4 guests and were kindly served by an unpainted waiter. An employee/owner sat in the guest room and spoke to the waiter. In the meantime, the radio sounded again and again interrupted by word contributions (like Bayern1 in Greek, only louder... . Somehow not the atmosphere I can imagine in a Greek restaurant. The beer (cheek, what could happen worse? , the Tzaziki and the olives/peperoni as an appetizer were o.k. Suflaki o.k. Gyros were partially hard and tastefully burned no performance. The roast potatoes, which were ordered for grilled chicken breast, were round carrot slices unworn and do not even drive. All in all an average Greek at a slightly elevated price with rather small portions. Chicken 11,50EUR, Plaka plate 9,90EUR. All this together, no repetition! There are much better and cheaper Greek restaurants in Nuremberg!
Report: Five months after our first visit to the Greek restaurant, led by the Tsiaoussis family, now the promised second test. Ambiente: After we were in the interior of the restaurant during the first visit, we naturally moved through the beautiful weather to the beer garden. I had no longer remembered the outdoor area, about 150 guests can find a place under Linden or a big awning. Overall, everything made a well-maintained and clean impression. Selection of food and drinks: A well-equipped food and beverage card is unchanged. There is no snare or even an extra beer garden map. There's everything in other Greek restaurants, no less, but no more. Our selection: We started with the Greek appetizer plate. Light and shadow offered here! The Taramas (Fishroggen Cream) was tastefully fine, but certainly not homemade. The Ktipiti (Fetakäsecreme) was very good. Also the Otopus salad marinated with onions, olive oil and lemon was very good. The very easy to produce Tzatziki, but was a gray and so not tolerated! Fad, boring and above all not chilled, but served lukewarm... not to believe that this is brought to the guest's table. The manco of not too fresh white bread was also found. Our main dishes were salad variation with grilled chicken breast fillet strips and pita as well as baked Kalamaris and scampis with fish sauce, butter rice and a small salad . The salad dish was a little good. With a light cocktail sauce, tastefully grounded. However, the chicken breast fillet was too dry. The Pita was definitely not homemade! The second court had more deficiencies than highlights. While the Kalamaris were really elegant, I wondered why it was not possible to get rid of the scampis properly, not just for the eye a big manko! In addition, the scampis were not from the grill or at least from the pan, but from the frit and thus dry as a dust drop at 60 degrees in the desert. The fish sauce was a cocktail sauce from the tube or from the glass. The butter rice (apparently boiled in vegetable broth) was overgrown, overgrown and not to enjoy. Service: Friendly, fast and criminal! The deficiencies already mentioned during the meal were immediately transferred to the kitchen. The Metaxa offer when ordering the invoice, but we were kindly beaten. Conclusion: Shade, in terms of kitchen performance, the plaka (in contrast to my first rating) loses its fourth and also its third star in the food sector. The areas of application, ambience and cleanliness remain unchanged. Tip: If you want to visually make a picture of the courts, you can see the photos set for this purpose.
The Tzaziki is definitely from the 20 liter bucket of the metro. The Saganaki is also a Convinience product finished panned out of the bag and briefly thrown into the friteuse. The Gyros reminds me at best of the thin-sweet döner meat and the salad tastes vinegar with sugar. Those who expect genuine honest Greek cuisine and have not yet buried all taste nerves go to another place. We're not coming back!
