Rest-O-Vieux Poele - NOYAN

We visited Canada from Colchester, Vermont for a change of scenery and discovered this restaurant with several cars parked outside, indicating it was popular. Since we spoke French, we were warmly welcomed. We decided to try the menu of the day, which was reasonably priced in Canadian dollars. However, when it came time to pay, we were informed that credit cards were not accepted and had to pay in US dollars at a 1:1 exchange rate, making our meal one-third more expensive. To add insult to injury, we received our change in Canadian dollars right before heading back to the USA.

The food was decent, the service was good, but there is room for improvement. This restaurant is more catered towards locals rather than tourists.

Whenever we pass through Noyan QC, we make sure to visit this restaurant. It is a cozy, family-run establishment popular among both locals and tourists. The restaurant is always spotless and the staff is incredibly welcoming. While we only pass through the area a few times a year, we never miss the opportunity to stop in for lunch if we are within 50 kilometers. The waitress always greets us warmly. Now, let's talk about their pizza. No matter what toppings you choose, you can count on generous portions. There is no need to order extra pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, etc. - it's all included. The crust is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Your family and friends will be delighted if you bring the leftovers home.

Great experience. Ladies took great care of us and we have a son with a nut allergy. She understood cross contamination! He was treated like a king, as we all were. Fiid was amazing. Our group of 8 all had breakfast selections and they were all amazing. The potatoes and beans were soooo good. The omlettes were huge, fluffy and full of great ingredients. Ladies were great, cook was great and came out to check on us...a MUST visit.

A place not to miss if going to Noyan. Had a great dinner after vising the fort lennox. Very welcoming and friendly. Seems all the locals go to this restaurant. ordered pizza and smoked meat , we couldn't finish our plates. So full.
