King Of The Coop - Nowatney

One of the worst experience I ever had in Tampa. The place was dirty and food don’t taste good at all. The only saving grace was fries which were good.

To be honest, I’ve been to a couple of the other locations but I was never really impressed. I’d say that is mainly because the first time I didn’t know what to order, and the second, I forgot to order without pickles.Tonight is the night everything changed. I was driving around downtown, knowing I wanted chicken tenders but I didn’t know where to get the from. I even knew the taste I wanted, but didn’t know exactly where I’d find it at close to 8pm on a Sunday.I did a google search and found KOTC in SoHo. They were closing in ten minutes but I wasn’t terribly far away so I ordered my tenders and headed that way. I was only minutes away when I realized I’d forgotten about the pickles and I tried calling but it went to voicemail.When I arrived, I caught them before they put the pickles in, I grabbed my drink and went to my car. They smelled incredible and I didn’t waste any time before digging in.They were perfect. I wanted to go in and thank the two young men who were working but they were already closed. I continued eating my tenders when one of the young men walked out to get into his car.I motioned to him to roll down his window, and with a mouth full of chicken tenders I said to him, “I’ve been to a couple of these locations and I’ve never been impressed til tonight.” I also asked his name and told him I’d leave a google review.Tae, thanks a lot, my brother. These tenders slapped and I’ll definitely be back.Thank you.

They definitely have some of the best chicken in town. The fries are the best I ever tasted. The chicken is very nice and tender and the spiciness is on point. However, the food takes a long time to come out every time I go. The mac and cheese has been cold multiple times. Also, the combos/pricing seem to be different every time I go. when I go here, they either hit the bull’s-eye or completely miss.

My bf and I LOVE King of the Coop for Nashville hot chicken. Deonte at the SoHo location is THE BEST!!!But literally, my bf visits from out of town and comes here every single time. I once surprised him with a hang gliding trip. And he discovered King of the Coop that same weekend. And guess which one he talked about more?You should come check it out!

This place has the best chicken tenders and Mac n cheese. Try the “biddy” and “midway” flavors!! I’m sure their are other stuff is good too, but this is my recommendation
