We love Border! I have been coming here for 27 years and throughout the changing economy, the portions are still so generous and the food is still very consistent. We have recently ordered catering orders through here for multiple family parties. The food is delicious, there’s enough to always go around again it’s very consistent. Considering the portions, the price is also very fair. If you have never been and this review gets you to try it for the first time treat yourself to their fresh fajitas their fried ice cream (made with Guernsey ice cream and their homemade crust). Border is the best.
Wings are not part of the happy hour. Saying nothing on the menu about it.
Worst Mexican food I have EVER had. I don 't know if the owners have tweaked the menu to cater to the American palate or what but it was very strange. I ordered a combination plate so that I could get a taste of a few different things. The plate came out entirely COVERED in cheese. It looked like an entire 2 cup bag of Colby Jack shredded cheese had been melted over the top. Don 't get me wrong, I like a little cheese but this was ridiculous. After removing lots of the cheese to see what was underneath I was left with soggy food that was inedible. The meat inside the taco smelled strange, the Chile relleno was like a sponge, and the enchilada was 90% tortilla and 10% meat . My friend ordered the Arroz con Pollo and it was the same story...TONS of cheese. We each ate 1-2 bites and that was it. If you want this type of Mexican food, Taco Bell is your best bet. If you want authentic incredible Mexican food go downtown to Mi Pueblo or something that is WORTH the drive and the money.
The mojito that Malena made us was fantastic! Great place, great food, great service!
