Trattoria Vapene - Novi Sad

Nice, new place for an italian food next to the University of Novi Sad. It is a small business with few tables inside the restaurant and also few outside. They can offer some pastas, pizzas and the have some desserts. Me and my girlfriend tried the 32 cm Capricciosa pizza which was really delicious and ate Cheesecakes which were okay. We would go back there, but there are few more places I we prefer to eat pizza.

Small and cozy place, amazing food but terrible experience for a non smoker because of lack of ventilation in a small place where your eating and smoking is allowed (moreover the ovens for the pizzas aren't well ventilated). Recommend takeaway if possible. They offer 22 cm/32 cm pizzas and great pasta offerings. Pastas are around 300 RSD, and pizzas 200 (22cm) 400 (32cm)

The restaurant claims to serve “authentic Italian cuisine” As a born and bred Italian man not even the name can be considered authentic here! “Va bene” (it’s ok was turned into “Va pene” (literally “go penis”

This was my go-to pizza shop. My wife and I like to try pizza in Novi Sad and compare. We honestly liked the Quatro Formaggi here and we came often. But today, we had a bad experience, we waited for the service for around 40 minutes, which was ok because the waitress kindly apologized. The thing we didn't like at all was how little topping we got. We ordered a big Margarita and the ketchup covering was around 50% and the cheese was scarcely put around 30%. We basically got mekike. The next table got the topping as usual. I hope next time we will have better luck.

Unfriendly service and unpalatable food. The tuna salad was horrible. Won't be coming back again.
