Al Castello - Novello

I mentioned it already in my review of the hotel: if you stay at the Castello, make sure to have dinner as well. We very much enjoyed the experience, starting with selecting our bottle of wine in the wine cellar, followed by a lovely dinner in the castle's dining room. We had some very nice antipasti (including an omelet with truffles), a great local pasta dish, meat cooked in Barolo wine as main dish, and a delicious desert to finish it off. 5 stars for the total experience, and the food quality.

We had a wonderful 7 course meal, the service was brilliant and as it is a small restaurant very personal. Nothing to dislike!

While we were staying at the lovely castle hotel, one dinner was scheduled at the castle restaurant in a beautifully decorated room. After a visit to the wine cellar we were received in the ancient room with a nice warm fire burning in the fireplace. The staff of both the hotel and the restaurant are very friendly and they all are passionate about the very special location. Nice food with great wines. By the way the view from the roof terrace is spectacular.
