Bidra med feedbackAlmost £30 for four basic drinks. Had to ask for the receipt to double check. Wine was clearly a cheap brand but £8.10 a glass. Almost £6 for an IPA you can get almost anywhere for a few quid. Was pretty dead for a Friday night until it started to pick up and then the bar staff didn't have a clue what to do with themselves, some ambling around aimlessly whilst others literally just stood there doing nothing. I like my music loud but even I thought it was far too loud for a sit down, social bar so couldn't speak to people across the table from me without yelling. Would understand the drinks prices if the games were free, but nope.
Used to love this place but sadly gone downhill. Wife and I went there to meet friends before going for a meal. Arrived at 6pm on Sat. Wife ordered a double gin tonic and we got a pitcher to play beer pong. The tonic was so flat it tasted like water so I took the drink back. Politely suggested something wrong with the tonic as It didn’t taste right, to which the incredibly rude barmaid said that can’t be right as it comes out a can. I invited her to try it, she refused. She then said “Well what do you want me to do about it?”. I asked her if my wife could have another gin tonic. Barmaid stormed off muttering angrily, made the drink, came back and thrust it into my hand with a separate can of tonic. She then said that is the last drink I’m allowed in there as I was rude. At that point, I’d had enough so we demanded a full refund and left. Appalling customer service and took our business (and that of the 8 friends we were meeting) elsewhere. Will not be returning.
Nice bar, good atmosphere. Some games to play, not a lot of seats, but have managed to get a table, the two times I’ve been. Large selection of cocktails and alcoholic drinks. The cocktails are very imaginative and lots of unusual cocktail recipes I haven’t seen before to try. Never a queue at the bar, great for a relaxing drink, with a good atmosphere and good music. The themed toilets are a fun touch too, inspired by the different eras. Also has a photo booth inside, £3 for a strip of 3 pics.
Cool bar to go and drink at, haven't tried the food yet but will be back for sure. They have loads of retro games scattered around, pacman built into the tables etc, it's pretty cool. The whole place is a retro/gamer vibe, old school movie posters (labyrinth
Extremely slow service, waiter forgot our order 3 times and had to reask the table. They also had absolutely no idea what drinks were available which was frustrating to order as all he could say was look at the cocktail menu or I'll go check. Took forever to get a staff attention when seated at the table and forever to get the bill. To top it off you're not even allowed to take home a receipt at the end of your bill for some reason? (Be warned here you're not able to expense it because of this). The food was mediocre at best bringing it from 1 star to 2. Definitely needs significant improvement in terms of dishes and service.
