I wrote yesterday that I was very disappointed at the service I had received in this norwood gelatissimo. this morning I received a beautiful, unexpected note from the owners who showed me that they care so that I visited unannounced tonight and received great service. the product is good and many thanks for this business in norwood. 05 feb, 2015 no service and came during the advertised business hours. registered until 10:30 clock came 10:15 clock and all were packed. Sevice is disappointing. Arrived 15 minutes prior to closing time. The manager refused to sell us ice-cream as he was packing up early due to a lack of customers. I would have thought that wanting to purchase 2 large tubs of ice-cream qualified us as customers! Guess I was wrong! Next time I wont waste my time and go straight to Cibo!!

Shocking Quantity service. I LOVE ice cream. Everyone who knows me knows this. As a treat last week I thought I'd shout myself to an ice cream at this ice cream place. I have had ice cream and gelato from Gelatissimo on Rundle Street and loved it, great staff and yummy ice cream. Beautiful quality. So I ordered FOR $6.50 two scoops yes 2 scoops for $6.50 an ice cream in a cone. Well, not wanting to sound too greedy, my eyes nearly popped out of my head LOOKING for the ice cream. The chocolate was about a heaped tablespoon squashed in the cone but the coffee was, I kid you not, about a dessertspoon on the top. $6.50. Good gelati, but disorganised. Great gelati but it's chaos when it's busy. There's no clear line or system to make sure people are served in order and many of the staff don't seem well trained in customer service. I'll keep going back (I've really missed having great gelati in norwood since cibo/pistachio closed a couple of years ago) but I really hope they sort out their serving issues. There are a lot of interesting flavours which I enjoy trying, and a good chocolate sorbet which is my favourite.
