Holiday Inn - Norwich

Visited here for breakfast a few times for brekkie after meeting and have to say the staff look miserable, the breakfast itself for a buffet is ok, but it’s like a hive of miserable authoritarian older ladies that think they’re school dinner ladies! … not for me!

The food is okay but overpriced, and the drinks are too expensive too. The staff are not very friendly and seemed grumpy when I visited. My sister dropped me off at the airport, so we decided to stop by here to kill some time before my flight. Overall, it was disappointing.

Very pleasant stay for 3 nights. Meals very good, bar good. Room very comfortable, temperature OK. Wifi free and unlike some, fairly fast and doesnt drop out.

How do you mess up a steak that badly, strange concept, they give you tablets, despite having 4 staff staring at you not saying a word, you do it all yourself and then they charge you for the service... I ordered the steak, rare, it arrived well done and tough as boots, I couldn't manage it, could be the worst steak I've ever had! Was never asked how it was, just got up and left. Really cold strange place

Our group ordered 4 vegetarian dishes but all of them were served with corned beef instead. This was a disappointing start to the meal. The terrine tasted like corned beef, and the chicken dinner was also not enjoyable as the chicken was dry, the red cabbage had a strange taste, and the broccoli was undercooked. The chocolate cake we ordered was decent. The service was slow during the main course, and it would be better if all the waiters worked together on one table instead of individually so that the food doesn't get cold. Overall, the experience was not as good as Dunston Hall's party nights.
