Bidra med feedbackFood great but service from new waitress was awful. All diners were getting wrong orders and she did not listen to what we wanted . Tried three different nights and still sane waitress. One guy had the firm up to his mouth and she took the plate away to another table. Really miss the food but cannot go back. My friends say the same. Such a shame . Waited a long time and it wasn’t busy. Maybe staff training would help. Maybe don’t try and do takeaway and table service together . It doesn’t work with the new server.
Always a fab meal and a warm welcome! Plenty of choice and fast service. Perfect little spot! 10/10
We visited The Thai Orchid last week whilst on holiday in Scotland. This restaurant is a hidden gem off the beaten track. Don't be put off by the exterior as it does seem a little bit odd, but once you enter it is really wonderful. The service was impeccable, nothing too much trouble, very efficient and attentive in the bar and restaurant. Our meals were absolutely superb, and we just wish this restaurant was in Liverpool!!
Disappointing, used to go there allot when they done the buffet and had a few takeaways , its decent food but wouldn’t rush back, the platter for 2 is way over priced for what you get. Service was poor and wasn’t really that busy. Nearly finished the mains before we got our rices , Got 2 different bills with 2 different prices , waited ages on our drinks. And still waiting on my satay sauce. The woman behind the bar attitude was shocking . Was not friendly at all. Food ok service shocking .
Went with my wife for a nice romantic meal, we didn’t know what to expect as it was our first time. We had a sharing platter for starter and couldn’t complain, it came out quite quick and it was well decorated, hand carved flowers (out of carrots) were featured on the plate, didn’t expect this at all we felt as if it was quite fancy for a small little restaurant. I had the crying tiger (the young waiter recommended it as I wasn’t sure) and it was very good. My wife had a green curry and enjoyed it very much. Throughout the night the staff were super attentive and I noticed some of the staff scanning the room on multiple occasions, don’t get it most other places so was nice to see attentive staff lol. Wasn’t expensive at all for what we got, left with full bellies and a takeway menu; we will most certainly be back. Not often I spend my time writing reviews but I think this place deserves some credit after reading some of the previous ones! Only thing I’d pick up on is it does feel a bit claustrophobic as the tables are quite close together so wasn’t the romantic atmosphere we hoped for but was still quite enjoyable.
