Rialto Italiano - Northumberland

We visited 16/12/23, our table for 4 (2 adults and 2 children) at 5.30pm for an early dinner. There were a few tables in but not too busy, like it gets when later in the evening. We all choose the fillet steak with a sauce, which comes with homemade chips. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium/well) and not a piece of fat in any of the 4 steaks. Far too many chips arrived. Personally, I wish there was a choice to have half chips and onion rings/mushrooms etc. For a party of 4. Service was good and friendly. I would like to say that I find it very annoying when the waiters remove empty plates (from those who have finished their meal) prior to everyone on the table finishing their meals, it seems more and more restaurants do this now, but I don't like it and will mention next time. All in all we had a lovely evening and can recommend the steak, as its one the best we've had in a long time, includes UK, Europe and USA. It takes some beating.

Poor service, miserable manager. The staff seemed on edge and nervous, and no clue what they were doing. Overheard the manager being very abrupt with staff, when I paid the bill I was going to add a tip on but was told by the young waitress not to bother and that the owner kept any tips.

Fabulous restaurant, they hosted a surprise party for a 70th birthday, the staff were amazing and the food excellent nothing was any trouble thank you.

Great food at reasonable prices. Had a meal for 5 with starters, mains and a bottle of wine for £91. Good service and a buzzing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Generous portions and food came quickly. All of us were too full for dessert.
