Pheasant Inn - Northumberland

Booked this restaurant two weeks in advance based on the reviews,when we arrived there was no evidence of a booking, however they did accommodate us but had to be out by a certain time, the service was actually appalling,we were made to feel as if we were an inconvenience, the food when it arrived was good but very small portions,will not be going back

The staff were welcoming to two wet and tired cyclists, and the food was amazing. They also provided a garage to store our bikes and the rooms were excellent.

This is a lovely hotel and restaurant. It’s set off a quiet road in the middle of the countryside. We had two evening meals here and it could not be faulted. If you like a country restaurant with lots of atmosphere and great chef cooked food then this is for you. Lovely friendly staff. Fully recommended.

The food was selected carefully. A good balanced menu. Something for vegetarians also. There is a superb kitchen team. Food is brought lovely and hot. Presentation is stunning. Looks and smells fabulous. Better than some city food by a country mile. The waiting staff always smile and chat. I would not go past the food here. It is gorgeous.

I recently visited this restaurant on a Thursday night. The bartender/waiter was very understanding, even though we were quite loud, and he was able to joke around with us, which we enjoyed. The food was delicious, especially the pork dish. However, my friend did not care for the lasagne. The atmosphere was very cozy. Overall, we had a pleasant evening.
