Bidra med feedbackWe have been going to DiPecara for years. Four of the six people in our group last night were not happy with our food. Both my husband and I, as well as another person (who has never dined there before) said the chicken was dry and tough. I had a side order of spaghetti with pomodoro sauce that tasted like tomato sauce from a can. Very disappointing. The two other people had salmon, and fish and chips, and said their dinner was OK. Definitely not up to par.
I was at an event today here at DiPescara in Northbrook Court! I had the Penne with Shrimp, it was very creamy and tasty, the shrimp was just a bit overcooked! My friends had the Chicken Milanese and BBQ Ginger Salmon, they both look like it was well prepared! The staff was very friendly and efficient! The best was the Valrhona Chocolate mousse cake! It was decadent! The restaurant was a little noisy though for a Tuesday afternoon!
We wanted a quiet table for 5 people at 7:30. . We ate in the bar, we were able to enjoy hearing one another. Food was great.. as always! Waiter excellent! I think we were the last people to leave the restaurant., because we enjoyed ourselves so much!
As always DiPescara always serves up delicious meals. My choice for this evening was a crab cake from the appetizer menu and their Wonderful orchard salad with green goddess dressing. The waiter was terrific and very attentive. The other staff that helped were also very attentive and quick to make sure things were going well. Lettuce Entertain You has once again done a great job continuing to bring a great restaurant to the public. Thank you all for the good experience!
I'm afraid this LEYE stalwart has lost its way. The dining room is tired, the service was lacking, and the menu hasn't changed in years. I had the Shrimp Oreganato, which was overcooked and rubbery. My wife had the Turkey Burger with Fries that were also overdone more burnt than crisp. Our server never returned to our table to inquire if everything was okay it wasn't) so we were stuck trying to make do. The place was crowded with regulars so I guess they're getting by, but it's no longer a “go to” place for us.
