Golden Kitchen - Northampton

I have been going to Golden Kitchen since I was a young boy with my father. They used to be amazing, the highlight of the week, but there was a slight decrease in quality for a couple of years recently. The chips were different and overcooked. However, they are back after the lockdown and I am certain they are better than I ever remember! There is a new chef and every time the food is perfect, consistently! I have been praising this restaurant for years and will continue to support the family.

I’ve been going to Golden Kitchen for years and it’s the best fish and chips in Northampton by a mile I’d recommend anyone give them a try you won’t be disappointed

I have lived in this area for many years and cannot believe I just discovered this amazing restaurant. The batter is the best I have ever tasted - crispy, not soggy, and perfect for my battered sausage. The fish cake was delicious, the chips were fantastic, and the curry sauce had a Chinese flair to it. I rarely write reviews and have even been known to take road trips for a good chip shop, but I am thrilled that I won't have to do that anymore because I will definitely be coming back to this place.

In the past, I would have highly recommended Golden Kitchen with a four or five star rating. However, in the last six months, there have been some changes in management and the quality of the food has declined. My recent experience with very dry fish and chips was disappointing. I hope this is just a temporary issue and that Golden Kitchen can improve their standards. Come on, Golden Kitchen, step up your game!
