The Monkey Tree Gin Bar Restaurant

To say I'm horrified at my first visit to @themonkeytree would be a real understatement. - the setting of the staff - the food - the service just go an absolute no. I was actually recommended by many people in this restaurant, but never visit! at first my eating was freezing when it came out first, they warmed it, but still came out how cold and then to it off, I asked for soaking and through the time that had actually come to the table I ended my whole meal anyway none of this really troubled but then I did. when we had eaten one of my family members, we saw the guy next to him, who obviously had put him completely off his meal, the workers also covered himself there more, it was simply not nice to see. the staff collected the teller, but not one of them asked if everything was in order with our meal times or why a complete meal was not even touched. before we left the restaurant when we asked about the bill, one of the girls came by so that we only declared casually that our family member obviously had seen the whole thing and had a phobic of the sick, which meant that he did not even try or eat his meal. Now, suddenly the whole scenario in “good I take no money from their bills” was made, during said I can't even begin to tell them everything I'm going to smash. the reaction of the personal was the most inappropriate and unprofessional reaction I have ever experienced, I have remained so upset! as a woman who runs a business himself when someone came to me to raise a concern, I would never speak with my customers in a million years in the way we were talked to tonight. everyone who knows me will know that I and my family travel super far to eat at beautiful places and spend a lot of money for good eating. we do not go to complain, get freebies or create a scene that we celebrated my beautiful mother's birthday, which ended up on so disappointing deep. to say how we were just disgusting. so I ask everyone please do not visit this restaurant! I never leave somewhere the feeling that I have to write a post like this, but I can't help this one.

There is only one handful of tables on a Friday night. that was good, we had the tapas. the omission is the service. waitresses seem uninterested, they don't think they want to be there. will not go back.

The food was terrible. the waitresses had no problem or no question to remove the food from the bill, to know how bad it was. disappoint as it was in the middle of the week, with only 3 tables in!

Very impressed by the food and cocktails here. first visit and will come again in definitiw. the staff was also very friendly.

I visited monkey tree with two friends on Saturday night. We had to push the table back by an hour as we were travelling from away, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I had the prawn...starter and belly pork main, very generous portion sizes and very tasty, unfortunately I didn’t have room for a dessert. The atmosphere was lovely and the perfect setting for catching up with good friends. I would highly recommend!
