Honestly this is the lowest quality pub food I've had in a long time. We were passing and stopped for a quick snack on a quiet weekday lunchtime, and ended up having small plates because the main menu was not being served. We waited 50 mins for cheesy garlic bread that was hard and swimming in oil, some very greasy breaded mushrooms, and chicken strips that were more breadcrumbs than chicken. Never ones to cause a fuss, we ate it and left, but in hindsight we probably should have sent it back and asked for a refund. I'd actually be happier if places like this didn't do food at all. Just serve beer and bar snacks rather than serving this rubbish? I'd have been quite happy with a crusty cheese cob and some crisps. It's quite obviously the cheapest possible food they can source, it is genuinely awful tasteless stuff, but the menu isn't so cheap to reflect this. The Bell could and should be a nice dining option in the historic market town of Coleshill, but I cannot recommend the food at all based on today's experience. Plus points? Well the pub has recently been renovated and is very nice inside, and the drinks selection is decent. Just don't eat here! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
