Bidra med feedbackBought a breakfast voucher in Days Inn, good value £7.95, as breakfast was excellent and you could choose various options, cooked fresh and quick service.
Its Fish and Chips at a service station, its really not a restaurant but hey, Fish and Chips is Fish and Chips right? So, enough of the waffle, what about the food? Fantastic! absolutely faultless. Super fresh fish cooked freshly as you order it. Perfectly cooked in a gorgeous batter with really good chips. Priced at £7.99 for a regular portion which includes mushy peas or baked beans. I don't reckon anybody could argue with that. But, and there is just one but. £2.40 for a cup of tea!! That is a shameful ripoff and there is not other word for it. Harry Ramsdens management take heed. You are trading under a good old English trading name which most recognize and appreciate. The sort of people that are your customers are I'm sure, the same sort of people that will feel that there is no possible justification for such an insulting pricetag. If you gave your tea away at a miniscule cost to yourselves you would be building on that respected name rather than becoming just another ripoff service station provider. Great food, really, really good but what I took away from it was the scandalous tea prices shame.
The fish and chips here are excellent - fresh, hot, and even better than your typical local fish and chip shop. The staff is friendly and I would definitely come back again without hesitation.
I had breakfast at this restaurant and it was okay, but the food was not very hot. They took a long time to cook my egg. The price was almost £11 with coffee, which I found to be expensive.
They make really fresh, lovely tasting, fish chips. The food is consistently good and served on nice big plates. The beer batter and sides of mushy peas are great Would thoroughly recommend them.
