Golden Pearl - North Vancouver

Eating at this restaurant can be hit or miss. I work nearby, so when there aren't many options and I'm in the mood for Chinese food, this is the best choice available.

This restaurant offers simple and delicious Chinese cuisine. It is located in a strip mall, so don't anticipate a fancy dining experience.

I was surprised by how salty and greasy the food was. It could have just been an off day.

This restaurant is less than fancy and seems quite dingy at a first glance....but the food is damn good & the portion sizes are very generous. Don't expect any conversation with your service or anything but basic courtesy, but again this place isn't fancy, just good food and lots of it.The evening line ups in the Winter months can get crazy, so we often eat there for a late lunch instead.

As other reviewers have said - this is not a fancy restaurant, but it's got delicious, food and plenty of it, for a very reasonable price. Since our favourite inexpensive Chinese restaurant in Burnaby changed owners a few years ago, we've been looking for new "go to" place, and we've finally found it. We don't mind going here all the way from Burnaby! They're happy to make substitutions on their combination dinners, and only charge the difference that the menu shows between the 2 dishes. Three of us shared a "dinner for 3", ate well, and had enough leftovers for 4 lunch sized containers.
