I hate to leave this review, but my visit on Saturday was not great. The cupcakes are regularly large as you would make at home in a standard muffin pan, but they cost $4 each. You can only have a container to hold it if you cost 6 and 6 of them you $25.68... or so I thought. I checked my bank account and I was charged $26.75 for some reason. I understand that eggs and butter are expensive, but the price that is calculated should be more than the cost of packaging and for this matter the eggs and butter it needs to make the keksteig, that is our favorite and many others on their answer when we ask. We still got 12 cupcakes, 6 each. The wedding cake frosting tasted like the refrigerator. I had to throw it out. The cream cheese Brownie was gratefully good. I am a single mother, this was a special day splurge for me and was an annual tradition for my family and I when we go to eagle weekend. I hate to say it, but I don't think we're back after the cost and taste. I plan to find my own cookie dough icing recipe and make it yourself. I didn't even want to leave a review, but when I saw the prosecution was more, that led me to it. The hope that things can change, we once enjoyed this place. Maybe consider cheaper packaging like boxes.

We stayed at Starved Rock Lodge 10/18/22 and on the way home decided to try this cupcake place. I don't have to go back and I can't recommend it. The lady (owner/backer) behind the counter was rude and with her “rules” completely a branch. I can't believe that if you buy cupcakes in half dozen quantities, there is no other way to tremble the cupcakes from the store, not to mention any transport home without ending with a mess. No bags of any kind, no paper baggage, baggage, plate, wax paper, etc. You can not even buy the plastic container for six if you want less than six!!! I have never heard of “rules” on the wall in any bakery/food facility. And the cupcakes are $4.00/every. Although I admit that the cupcakes looked good, I did not feel that the taste was everything to get excited. Some had too much freezing, some had a shed more, and I really didn't think they tasted very fresh. I'm sorry I just don't leave the store after my experience of incompatibility, but I thought I'm here and will support a little business. I'm sorry; I will stay at home with the many options, or probably anywhere where the customer is treated with respect and at least receive a product that is properly packed. Next time I'm in the area, I'll try to sell the candy shop next door or just with the best fudge ever Starved Rock. Ms Storekeeper, you could invest in a few brown paper bags and try to rewrite your rules both in writing and verbal.

Dear Owner,We stopped in on Saturday and the women behind counter made antisemitic comments. This was distasteful and so were your dry cupcakes!
