Upchers At The Dales Country House

I recently returned to this restaurant after a long time, accompanied by a regular dining companion. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who provided excellent service throughout our meal. I enjoyed a delicious Caesar salad for lunch, which was as tasty as the ones I make at home. The restaurant has a traditional dining room, which was a nice change of scenery compared to the local cafes, and at a lower cost. From my own experience, I can confidently say that the food and service deserve a round of applause.

During our vacation in Norfolk, we decided to try out Dale's Country House Hotel for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. As soon as we arrived at the beautiful building of the hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. We were warmly welcomed at reception by a polite young man who inquired if we had made a reservation, to which we confirmed. He then led us to a lovely lady who seated us at a nice spot by a window with a view of the front of the hotel. The dining room was breathtaking, with beautifully set tables adorned with fresh pink linen. We were offered drinks and presented with menus that offered a variety of choices. My husband opted for three courses while I chose two, and we were both pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation of the food. The desserts were particularly outstanding. After our meal, we enjoyed coffee on the terrace and were served four additional sweet treats, all of which were both visually appealing and delicious. We were impressed by the high quality and good value of our meal at Dale's Country House Hotel. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

We went to Upchers to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The ambiance was lovely. The service and food were excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. We will definitely be back!

We visited Upchers Restaurant at the Dales Hotel for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary while staying in Norfolk. The staff made us feel really welcome and we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Special mention for the “Bang Bang Cauliflower Wings” an amazing taste experience! We would happily recommend the Upchers Restaurant for great food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Visited this restaurant for a celebratory birthday dinner, wish we hadn 't bothered. Firstly, I must say that the front of house staff could not be faulted, attentive, professional which built our hopes up for a super evening, and it was until the food arrived. I had the Norfolk fillet steak, medium rare, absolutely terrible. I have never had a fillet that had that much grizzle and fat in it, awful and my wife 's pheasant was so tough it was probably some old road kill they had found. As for the vegetables, basically a pile of veg taken from one pan and dumped on the plate, no finesse or presentation skills whatsoever. To top it all my wife 's dish arrived a lot later than mine and my daughters, the reason we were told was 'sorry for delay but the chef caught his glove alight on the cooker ', what an absolute joke. This establishment really needs to employ some decent chef 's and quickly. Did complain about it and they reduced our meals by a third, they obviously need the money. My advice, look somewhere else but not The Links in West Runton or The Seamarge in Overstrand, all owned by the same people so I guess the 'quality ' would be the same as well. AVOID!!!!
