Best Efes - North Norfolk

This was the worst tasting donner kebab I have ever had. It tasted like soap detergent and all of the meat had the same unpleasant flavor. The garlic and chili sauces were bland and tasteless, and the chips seemed to have been double fried before being served to me. Overall, the food was inedible and I ended up throwing it all in the bin. I planned to ask for a refund, but my friends warned me against possible consequences, so I decided to wait until I was safely away from the restaurant. It was a terrible experience, to say the least. (See pictures for proof).

I regularly buy a doner kebab at what is now called the Village Kebab Pizza. It is a very good sized portion and really well priced. Staff always helpful and friendly. Thankfully it managed to survive the COVID downturn due to a solid take-away and delivery customer base.

This place has changed it's name from Efes. The Special meals were great, very generous portions, other kebabs were a bit too greasy. We enjoyed the pizzas too. Friendly service. All food to takeaway.

The restaurant is now closed, but a new one has opened in its place called Village Kebab Pizza. I am not interested in trying them because they serve rice with kebabs. This does not appeal to me at all.

Visited here for the second time on a Friday evening. Sat in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return and hope more people try the restaurant, as a new venture it needs all the support it can get.
