Sainsnbury's Cafe - North Lincolnshire

It's a supermarket cafe so you cannot expect fine dining. A bit like an old transport cafe but the food is hot, the drinks are hot the staff are friendly. A little expensive for what you actually get.

I ordered the £4.50 breakfast, it was brought to my table well presented and nice and hot, a good plate of food which i enjoyed.I have had a better sausage though. The restaurant itself is very spacious. The negative to my visit was dirty cutlery and the miserable woman who served me, i pity the guy who married that.

The Cafe is very clean and the breakfast was lovely and a good size. We didn't have to wait too long either The staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable

Vegan options are good and it's nice to have a choice. Understaffed at times and, therefore, service can be slow.

I went to this restaurant today with a coworker. We only had an hour for lunch, but I had been there before and didn't have to wait long for food. We ordered hot chicken and chips with tea. When I asked the waitress if the sandwich had lettuce in it due to my colleague's allergy, she looked at me strangely and replied that it didn't. She also mentioned that the sandwich came with a pot of gravy, but we never recieved it. After waiting for 30 minutes with no food in sight, I went to the counter to inquire about the delay. We were told it would be another 5 minutes. We explained that we were out of time and needed the food to go. The food arrived quickly in boxes, but the chips were cold, despite being fresh out of the kitchen. I was surprised to find that the hot chicken sandwich only contained a couple of slices of processed meat from the deli counter, not actual chicken, for £3.50. It was disappointing and not worth the price. It seemed like the food required minimal cooking effort, explaining why the waitress seemed puzzled when I asked about the lettuce. I felt embarrassed for suggesting the restaurant to my colleague. We have decided not to return, and will opt for a local pub instead, as they are likely to be quicker. However, credit to the staff member who brought out the food, as he handled the situation well.
