Bidra med feedbackCan I just say I was not feeling very well and the manager came over to the table and did say before you ask you can’t carry this meal out. He said if you I will give you another 5 minutes to eat the dinner I just told him to take it away. Would I be back No
I booked the pre theatre on the day, but I'd suggest booking ahead if you can. The place was packed from 5pm when we arrived till 8.30pm when we left. 3 adults and a child. Prior to ordering our meals we had poppadoms and sauces. We each had a different pakora. I had fish it was divine. My friend had mushroom pakora which although a starter the seemed small. My sis had chicken pakora and I was also a good portion. The child that was with us had chicken pakora and chips. Mains I had Pind De Machhi, fish curry again I loved it. I always try dishes I would never make at home. My friend had chicken tikka skewers. The meat look fabulous and she said it had good flavour. My sis had Alba Bombshell with lamb. She enjoyed it but had food envy of the tikka skewers. We all had a lovely evening. The team were fun and attentive. Definitely be back.
Excellent all rounder Fantastic place to go to this is our 4th time and we have not had one reason to complain. Fast service for drinks and food and the plave was very accommodating
Me and my Mrs went for lunch and we could not fault the place. The menu is 2 toned and whilst I opted for a European dish my wife went for the Indian and both were to die for. Al plates wiped clean the service was promt and quick. Can't wait to be back
My issues began on Xmas day, had an unpleasant stay in the king suite , no plug visible for the bath , lightbulbs missing , plus a fiasco with an incompetent receptionist, I withdrew my review as Bal (manager on her granny’s side) phoned and apologised , promised me if I came back she would look after us personally and if I wanted I could have the king suite for free as we were more like “family” to her rather than customers ! So I agreed and booked for my 60th Birthday , was promised that I could have the table from 5pm-7:30pm, had already heard that they had been double booking people , emailed them as their phone lines were down , receptionist called me and assured me 5pm-7:30pm was absolutely still ok , then a few hours before Bal phoned and said the table would need to be vacated by 6:30pm as she had a sudden big booking of 18 people coming in and had to accommodate them now ! I really thought better of her and 9 weeks notice should have been enough time to sort out a table , totally unprofessional attitude , kept saying to me “things change all the time “ and I am trying to organise a busy restaurant here !!! No! Clearly seen the signs of a bigger table coming in so my 60th birthday no longer mattered She denied ever promising me the table for longer ! If this was her taking personal care of us I’d dread to think what she is normally like ! Considering I have always gone to the crowwood for special occasions , lots of big birthdays ! I even got married there ! The place is now very very badly managed especially since Dee left …needles to say I cancelled my booking , so hopefully that helped Bal look after her big table of 18 who clearly took priority over my special birthday ! I will never go back while that management team are in place !
