A beautiful family run business in a beautiful location. A warm welcome and in winter a warm fire adding to the ambience. I couldn't put an estimate of how many meals I have had here but the food, the service and general ambience are second to none. The Greek menu is amazing and you can have traditional British classics and a Sunday roast that is legendary and tremendous value for money. The Oak draws people from miles around and it is easy to see why. In the summer there is seating outside by the beautiful beck. From a quick drink and chat to a three course meal the Royal Oak is the perfect location.

Booked a table here for my partners 50th birthday and it was fabulous from start to finish! The staff were wonderful and accommodating, decorating the table prior to our arrival. The Greek food was incredible. They even brought out my partners birthday cake to Happy Birthday music, which made it extra special! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special occasion, or simply for a tasty meal! We will be going back again.

A lovely mid week early January lunch. Food as always excellent with great bar service. Nice chats with locals and staff. Always on top form and a great place to eat and drink.

Dinner for two and the authentic greek choices on the menu were lovely. Mains courses of Moussaka and Spetsofai didn't disappoint and very obviously home made. Attentive, friendly staff made for a wonderful experience in this lovely village pub. Definitely recommend.
