Bidra med feedbackWe were disappointed with our recent visit to this restaurant. We ordered the Ploughmans platter, but this time felt that we were not getting our money's worth. The platter consisted of salad, a few pearl pickled onions, 2 pots of chutney, olives, a roll with a small amount of butter, and a piece of cheese that was very small. Although everything was fresh and of good quality, the cheese portion was so tiny that it hardly made a difference to the overall dish. Additionally, we were expecting to receive Cheddar, Brie, and Pate according to the menu on the website, but we did not get this variety. This was the first time we have been disappointed after several visits to this restaurant.
Yummy food all round with excellent service! We had a light birthday lunch here and enjoyed, coffees, cakes and a homemade quiche with salad. Really great lunch stop if you’re exploring Baldock or if you just fancy a bit of plant shopping and a snack. Tea at Tapps is a favourite and they are soon going to have an outside seating area!
We booked for afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. There were 3 layers of savoury food which included filled rolls/buns, a cheese scone and miniature savoury tartlets. The fillings were generous and the pastry was excellent. For the sweet serving we had both fruit and plain scones with plenty of jam cream (we were given extra), assorted flavours of macaroons, miniature carrot cake and Victoria sponge. All very well made and delicious. Coffee and tea was excellent and unlimited. All for £18.50ea. Excellent value and would definitely go back.
Visited Tea at Tapps for a friends birthday and enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea! Enjoyed a very nice selection on savoury and sweet treats. Very good price, well worth a visit. Looking forward to next visit
A lovely meal here. My one gripe is the amount of signs that are up ! While they are mostly polite, they are a bit OTT.
