The Bateman's Mill

Overnight stay. Premises tired, in need of refurbishing. Linen fresh and clean, but Sub standard cleaning cobwebs on ceiling and down side of the wardrobe. Breakfast in bar area: slow service, table sticky, food options limited and stingy. A disappointment since, we had visited a few years ago and been impressed. Not worth £90 room and breakfast.

Went with a group of friends and ordered chicken pie it was the most disgusting piece of burnt and blackened mess sent it back and recieved another not as burnt but so dry it was impossible to eat never again

Visited Batemans on my daughters wedding anniversary The vegetarian options contained pesto and Parmesan I asked the manager about this she said they used grana padano, which any vegetarian knows contains rennet. The manager didn’t seem to care, you would think that she and her chef running a restaurant would know this, due to the lack of choice I had the falafel burger which was dry, could not eat it. If you are a vegan or vegetarian do not go to Batemans mill

We booked here for an engagement mean for 24 people in the restaurant, the communication over email before hand was great and helpful. On thr evening the layout was great for the tables and the food was amazing. The service was really good and all the staff were excellent. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a great evening.

We had an outstanding Sunday lunch for a party of 11. The food and service were exceptional and the restaurant is located in a picturesque setting. There was a wide variety of options available, including plenty for vegetarians. The beer garden was fantastic with ample space for outdoor dining and drinking. I would definitely give this restaurant a perfect score of 10. We are already planning to return with the entire family.
