North Wingfield Fish

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The kebab special was great value for money, with generous portion sizes and high-quality meats. The service was excellent, as they even called me to let me know my pre-order was ready for collection. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful meal.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are the absolute best. I have tried fish and chips from many different places in the UK and these are top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and patient.

I decided to give this chip shop a try after hearing that it had new owners. I ordered a large cod, donor kebab, large chips, potato fritter, and a large sausage. My family enjoyed the cod and kebab, hence the 2-star rating. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The chips were extremely cold, even though it was only lunchtime and the shop had just opened. The potato fritter was dry and stale, making me question its freshness. The sausage lacked flavor, indicating a need for quality control. I ended up throwing away the cold chips and potato fritter, but managed to eat the sausage after drowning it in Tabasco sauce for some taste.

Decided to have our usual fish and chips and see how the new owners fair. Fish and chips have shrunk in size, I thought my fish was a tiddler, very disappointing as we go out of our way to go there. the new owners have decided to spend money on the property, so spend less on the food. Probley wont be our favourite chip shop now.

I have used this chippy for many years, always consistent good quality fish and chips, always the same rude service! The owners past and present are always very pleasant and friendly, but the ladies who serve are brusque, unsmiling and not at all welcoming. Shame.
