Petit Japan - North Cairns Australia

A little bit of Japan in Cairns! It's a bit by chance that we found this restaurant in the Orchid Plaza Mall in Cairns. If the sign is both in French and Japanese it is normal, the owner of the place is married to a French! Don't hesitate to share a few words with her! The room is very well decorated and allows to sit. The menu consists of traditional Japanese dishes, such as curry, takoyakis, okonomiyakis... Everything is really good, balanced and honors Japanese gastronomy! A must!

I now have a new favourite eating place in Cairns. Excellent service, delicious food, exceptionally cheap. Management and staff are wonderful. This is seriously good food! I’ll definitely be back.

Best food ever and the owners are lovely. Must say one of the best smoothies in the CBD.

Tried the Okonomiyaki and yakisoba today....both yum and the service was great ....had a Japanese student with me and he said it was great food ....will return

Absolutely loved our meal, can not wait to go back and try something different.
