Bidra med feedbackExcellent dinner with my sweetie at the bar (a la carte menu . Wonderful as usual! Roasted olives, Little Gem Salad, Polpette (these meatballs are truly delicious and the Hiramasa flamed over the fire, beautiful char and flavor bomb . Great martinis, margaritas (they make their own orange liqueur! and the solid wine list make this a lovely spot — we love it here and will be back. Staff and management are truly top shelf, in every way. Thanks for a great evening.
A little pricey but most of the pre-fixe menu was really excellent! The first and third courses really hit for us, but we expected more with the second. The mushroom dish was excellent, and had surprising flavors. Both the tiramisu and the pear tartlette were fantastic as well Overall great service, atmosphere and meal. A little hefty on the pocket so it 's definitely a test yourself spot.
My friend and I enjoyed a really lovely happy hour meal yesterday (8/28). We sat at the bar where we had a front row few to the open kitchen which I really enjoyed. I'm a big fan of watching the kitchen staff work. The cooks working did a wonderful job and looked like they had great attention to detail as they prepared dishes. The bartenders were very attentive throughout our entire meal as we ordered a few drinks and several dishes to split. My friend had a few glasses of wine and I had the Orange Cream Soda with Tito's and Limoncello Spitzers. We were happy with all of our drinks. For dinner, we split several items: Rosemary Sourdough Focaccia, Fresh Mozzarella, Zucchini Fries, Spaghetti alla Nerano, and Pappardelle. We ate every single bite and were impressed by the quality of the meal. You can tell the pastas were made fresh and were cooked perfectly. The beef shoulder in the Pappardelle was tender and insanely flavorful. The focaccia was crunchy and soft in all the right places. The mozzarella was super smooth and paired nicely with the onion jam and thinly sliced melon. I think my least favorite item was the zucchini fries only because the zucchini got kind of flabby during the frying process. I think I would have liked them more if the zucchini was thicker cut to hold up better, but I still enjoyed them. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning.
Terrible service. Sat at the bar on a quiet night. Felt rushed. Bartender seemed lost in describing menu/wine, had almost no social skills. Had only a few bites of my app, sips of wine before my hot entree arrived. I told them to bring it back to the kitchen to keep warm and they seemed surprised. Bartender/waiter tried to take my wine/app before I had finished. I canceled the rest of my order and left. Wait staff obviously is lacking in service 101 skills. Salad didn't have much flavor, drowning in a thick sauce, potatoes desperately needed salt.
For having a 20% automatic tip, you'd hope that they'd have more than 2 waiters checking up on their entire dining room. Just increase the prices rather than putting a disclaimer at the bottom of the menu. If you add some Japanese style service pager to call a waiter. We started off our meal with the rosemary, sourdough focaccia $10 it was fresh and warm. Didn't taste too much of rosemary unfortunately. The most flavorful part of it was the high end olive oil it was served with. We added some of the meatballs $18 , which were the star of the night. They were moist, full of flavor, and the only thing lacking was that there were only 3 of them. The house spritz $12 had a good flavor, but sadly our came with almost no bubbles at all. For our main course we opted to split the carrots $15 and pappardelle with beef shoulder ragu $32 . For being the main course, it really disappointed. The pasta was nice and fresh, but cooked so poorly. Between the folds, there were chunks of crunchy uncooked parts and way too much raw flour. We had a hard time bringing it to the attention of the waitress because she was attending a dozen other tables. So we ended up eating around the raw pasta. When we were given an apology from the owner? he said it probably wasn't sauced properly. It was a bit loud so we couldn't hear if he was going to comp it for us, but he ended up just comping the dessert a spumoni cannoli $14 . Unfortunately one of the shells was over cooked. So to add that all up, they charged a required 20% tip $20 and added an extra 2.85% $3 for a total of $131. Thankfully the waitress was kind enough to remind me that gratuity was included already then she still presented the tip screen to me.
