India Cottage - North Ayrshire

Great curries, Shabeer is to be congratulated on the quality of his food, very tasty. I'm his biggest critic as I've been a customer for a very long time. Praise when deserved, he's hard to beat at the moment and I used to go out of town for curries.

Ordered a pizza for a pick-up, I was told to come and collect it in fifteen minutes, when I got to the shop, the pizza wasn't even in the oven! I had to wait a further fifteen minutes, when I got home with the pizza, there was no tomato base, only vegetables and cheese! I called the shop to complain, to the young boy that had served me, and he was very cheeky to me, asking if I knew how long it takes to cook a pizza. As he explained there was two 14 pizzas that had to be cooked before mine, I don't work in the shop, so why would I know how long it takes to cook a pizza in they're oven? Surely the young boy should know how long it takes to make a pizza, so why tell me fifteen minutes when knowing this?? Since then, there has been completely different staff, including the young boy, and they're attitude is absolutely shocking, I will never visit the shop again due to this problem. Used to be an absolutely great takeaway! But has seriously went down hill : . I went to complain to staff, I was threatened by them phoning the police, and being escorted out the shop.

Sometimes all the dishes are the same! Different dishes should have their own character and texture and look. Have had the occasion when all theree dishes looked the same but should have been different. A wee bit dissapointing as it is not cheap when you price a meal for three.

My own personal favourite is the Chicken Korma, but actually several of the dishes are really fab. The staff are very friendly and the takeaway service is very reliable. Good prices and excellent food says I.
