Portillo's Hot Dogs - Normal

Awesome atmosphere, fast service and great food. Get the Italian beef sandwich with cheese and hot peppers. Don?t forget the chocolate cake shake or just a slice for desert.

It was very good. I felt like we just missed the rush. Was there at 6:30pm, they were cleaning up tables and over flowing trash. We had a table to sit at. When called to get food, a drink was missing. But was quickly corrected with a smile. The food was good as always.

My first experience at a Portillo's. My husband said it's a good place to go. I dig the vibe and atmosphere there! I had the itialan sausage, with sweet peppers, fries and root beer. So good. Definitely a good fast food joint.

The Chicago dog and beef sandwich were excellent! They overcharged us (charged us for two hot dogs instead of one), but they said it will be refunded to our account within a couple days. They also didn't give us any napkins. But still 5 stars for the food.

Really great atmosphere! Lot's of interesting things to look at. The food I ordered was way too greasy for me. On the menu it looked like a great sandwich. What I got was almost completely submerged in grease. Just picking it up, my bread was disolving in my hands. The bathroom was nice and clean though and my face and hands cleaned up fine. I'd definitely ask for a less greasy option next time. My wife went with a hot dog pictured here. She said it was good but the hot dog was actually cold. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that, but she ate it. The kids food was also pretty greasy and my daughter's sandwich bread was also disolving from so much grease. We all used a lot of napkins. ??If it's a greasy spoon old time restaurant you are looking for, this place is the best. ?
