Bidra med feedbackIt is not on the water as described on Google cards. that was the old situation. it is now close to odu in norfolk. we had never heard of sunset grill and wished we knew when our daughter Odu visited. we were curious how to eat on the photos and description on google maps, but the owners have made the best of their brown stone on 41. and bowdens ferry rd. we enjoyed the restaurant, the food, the personal and the entertainment. my friend and I are both gardner and the server went around with us and talked about all the crooked and sweet that grow before place and used in the kitchen. live entertainment is provided on Wednesday thru Sunday evenings. wayne mitchell played the gitarre and singed tonight. my man I ordered both, ordered the black scallops with garden side salat and pommes. our friends chose fried garnel and salat. for dessert the youngs eis ordered afteros. it was coated with ice over fried tortillas in zimt sugar and crushed with chocolate and caramel sauce above it. the young had it almost finished with the time that we came out of the view of the garden, but the bite I had was delicious! the zimttortillas brought it to the next level! my man mentioned that he and I were served very small portions for $30. 3 scallops are the norm, but the amount of frits and salat were about 1/2 cups each. I thought it was okay. more salat would have been nice. most places give too many pommes so I don't annoy over the small portion of pommes. still worthy of 5 stars.
Amazing place! It has a beachy dive bar feel in here. The raw oysters were so fresh and delicious. The oysters are wild caught from the Eastern Shore a huge bonus. The service is quick and very friendly. Everyone here cares a lot about the quality of the food and service. This place has a homey feel. I will definitely be back!
Cute. Good food and drinks, but a bit expensive. The fish and chips were perfect. And the Sunset Punch was definitely worth $12! We will be back.
After 2 visits, I can't say there will be a 3rd. Though the owner and staff are nice, their food prices are NOT reasonable for your dining experience at this location. For example, the indoor space is too small to hold a private conversation, there is always an out-of-tuned guitar player blasting their vocals and the food quality control is not consistent with my previous order. The bar is stocked but the bartender/waitress doesn't seem to know how to make popular mixed drinks. Major changes are needed for me to consider coming back.
Hidden gemoutstanding eating, rustic atmosphere and personal service. I was blown away from this resteraunt, eating was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked I had never had seabass, but the owner assured me I would like it and it was great. If I could give six stars, I would!
