Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen - Norfolk

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Baker's Crust where the exceptional service of our server, Wade, truly made the dinner memorable. From the moment we were seated, his warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a delightful evening. It was evident that he took great pride in delivering top-notch service and genuinely cared about our experience. He offered insightful menu recommendations that catered perfectly to our tastes. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks, and Wade's infectious smile and friendly banter created a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere throughout our dining experience. I would gladly return to the restaurant, knowing that the outstanding service will be an integral part of the experience.

My husband and I have been Baker's Crust customers for decades. It saddens me to write that their overall customer service has decreased to the point where we question whether or not we want to return. Tonight, Sat., 06/24/2023, we arrived a little after six in the evening to a pretty sparce restaurant. My husband ordered a glass of pinot grigio for me and a beer for himself. My wine, which should have been well chilled, arrived warm ... probably poured straight from the bottle. Our sandwiches were fine, but the chips were anything but crisp, very chewy. Honestly, bagged chips would've been better. My overall feeling is that, unless some serious changes are made, this location will close down in the very near future. It saddens me to write this, but that's the reality.

The service is always top-notch; the staff not only does a very good job but always seems eager to make sure I have a good experience (BTW, Vinny and Wade have been my waiters many times and they’re always great! . I’ve also never had food here that I haven’t really enjoyed. My only complaint is with the discontinuation of the Baker’s Egg Croissant breakfast sandwich; it was a mainstay of your brunch menu for years and was amazing!
