Griechische Taverne Sorbas

This restaurant found on ta, and what a surprise! when they go through the door, they are teleported to Greece. a real rustic Greek tavernas. the owner really cares about her like his family. every customer is unique. good food and a dish of. ouzo to finish. perfect! from the English couple. not American!

The many good reviews of this restaurant are well deserved. we have been on a Friday without reservation, but they found space in the back room that has two large tables. eating was excellent varied menu all very Greek themes. large, proportionate and very favorable. we had an excellent Greek wine and two very beautiful glasses of ouzo. the owner is always attentive and fun. I would not hesitate to return to this charming restaurant.

Each year I come twice to Noerdlingen and each time I pay a visit to the Taverne Sorbas. Great original food from Greece, same as the owner. At the summertime he open the garden so you can sit outside to enjoy your dinner.

We had dinner with the family at this place and can only summarize it as the best Greek Food we have ever had. The owner is there himself and super friendly. Everything that leaves that kitchen is just amazing. It 's a casual family kind of...restaurant. I would recommend anybody the Suflaki with Greek rice and beans, Krautsalat and an extra order of French fries; as an appetizer, try the fried cheese. Just great, great comfort food.

Well traveled in Europe, we used TA to scan for restaurants before we visited Nordlingen. Walked by this Greek taverne and had to check out the menu.l So glad we did. The owner and family are so friendly and helpful. We knew from the menu...(even with German, Greek but not English) what we wanted. Couldn't figure out what wine would go (knew enough to stay away from Retsina), so the daughter made a recommendation that was great. The food is absolutely 5 star for such a small family run restaurant. Our lunch was not only great, but a super value. We hope you'll give this restaurant a try.
