Wabi-sabi Noodle House And Vegetarian Grocery

Close to Little Tokyo located in Makati Cinema Square, Wabi-Sabi Noodle House provides a delightful vegetarian alternative to the Japanese cuisine we know and love. It takes away the guilt by providing delicious vegetarian options. This place also acts as a Vegetarian Grocery and has a cute cafe located within it! For desert they serve some mouth watering shaved ice offerings and ice cream that’ll make you dance after you’ve indulged! The Kuapao and Banh Mi were delicious but so was everything else I ordered! I’m glad I came through and treated myself!

I was enjoying the best tasting (not to mention, guilt-free) bahn mi I have ever had when this white guy asked me how it is. He is sitting across me, eating steamed buns and gyoza. I eagerly answered how flavorful the bahn mi is and I asked about the steamed buns he’s having. Since the bahn mi is big enough and sliced in two, I offered him one and he gave me a gyoza, too. We agreed that what we ordered were delicious! He asked me what brought me there in that resto, that I must be a vegan. I said I eat mostly plant based meals and I wanted to buy vegan empanada from the grocery in the resto. He shared he is also there for the grocery and has a majority plant based diet. He loves dumplings and wanted to try the vegan siopao. It was our first time in this place and it was so fun to meet another person who is passionate about vegan food. We talked some more about how affordable the food is and well-blended the sauces are. We ended up having dondon soba and cracklings and extending our stay to have some ice cream, which was the perfect thing to wrap up this wonderful experience. It’s food that can make you dance! As these had gotten us full, we decided to meet again to try their coffee next time. It’s a date! I think I had just found my new favorite vegan resto and my new favorite person.

Super Wabilicious! Lol. Last time I ate here was 11 years at the old location. Tonight's goodness sent me into a state of bliss. I am looking forward to coming back real soon. This is my first time having the Harumaki. Love the texture and the sauce was the perfect blend of savory and sweet. The Viet Pho was fulfilling as well. Typically, limes are served but this is the Philippines, so you get a side of calamansi. Cheers to the staff for keeping the goodness flowing. We had a layover in Manila and looked up vegan options for the limited time we had. We saw what we could of this amazing city but had not found any excellent options for us until we found Wabi Sabi!! The owner warmly welcomed us as we walked through the door. His kind heart was evident as he walked us through the menu and made the perfect recommendations. The food was unreal! They are very accommodating and split the Tom Yum soup and Bahn Mi sandwich. I would absolutely recommend this little place and we will be back the next time we are in Manila! on the 2nd floor so go up the stairs and you can not miss it! Note: bring cash as they do not yet accept credit cards well worth it!
