Heart Cafe - Niles

I have been noticing this café since I live close by. Out of curiosity, I decided to give it a try. When I entered, the place was very dark and the TV was only switched on after I sat down. I had to request for the air conditioning to be turned on, which should have been automatically on during a hot morning. I originally wanted the Continental Breakfast, but the waitress informed me it was unavailable. I then asked for the Garden Salad, which should have been a simple dish to make, but it was also not available. I tried to order two more dishes that were not available, so I ended up asking what was actually available. I also ordered a cafe latte for my hot drink, but only received brewed coffee. Instead of my original order, they brought out Tuna Spaghetti. In all fairness, the serving size was very large. However, the menu stated that it would come with garlic bread, but it was served with a waffle cut in half instead. The waitress explained that they had no garlic bread so they substituted with a waffle. They didn't even consider if pasta and waffle were a good combination. Unfortunately, it was terrible. The pasta was Filipino-style and too sweet, lacking cheese. The waffle was dry, hard, and tasteless. The dish also took a long time to be prepared. My coffee was about to be cold by the time it was served. When I received the bill, there was even a mistake in the price. This café clearly lacks in both food quality and customer service. Do not expect much from this place. It's a disappointment.
