Bidra med feedbackLovely spot, overlooking the ocean. Well paced service that accommodated us as diners. I had the chef's pate, an old country style dish flavourful and savoury. My companion had escargot in butter and herbs with a baguette that was crisp and warm. The wine was a Pouilly Fouissy to accompany our seafood mains. I had a superb seafood au gratin served in the Coquille style brimming with lobster, scallops, Matane shrimp and crab. He had shrimp flambed with Pernod. Creme caramel and raspberry tarte for dessert. Loved that owner came out to chat...an all around pleasant experience, one we hope to repeat.
First time going there was just a couple nights ago and I've lived in the area for well over a year now. The atmosphere is very cozy. It's easy to tell that it was an old house renovated to a restaurant. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and it was delicious. The shrimp and scallop were a little small but there was a decent amount of them in the dish. Service was so-so I will admit. The one thing that bugged me the most was that (I'm assuming is) the owner was clearing away dishes and some of our party weren't finished eating. I ordered a soda, it came in a can and I drank it from that can. She came and grabbed it and was about to pour it in a glass, just like that! I had to tell her twice to not pour it in a glass. Probably a minor issue but for me, it takes away from that last star to make it a 5.
Best chicken and steak brochette in North America. We travel quite a bit around the world and have NEVER been to another restaurant that tastes better than Le Vieux Moulin. It's worth a taste!
Their lamb is actually to die for. Literally the best I've ever had. Servers were accommodating and the prices were fair. The restaurant is adorable too it's so cozy esp. near the fireplace.
The Fettuccine Alfredo is the best I've ever had. My grandma is Sicilian that is a big deal!
